The Battle for Indian Democracy: Allegations of Electoral Manipulation and the Fight for Transparency

If the BJP forms a government in India, many will believe it to be a stolen government, taking away the people's choice. The manipulation of this election started long before the voting dates were even set. The government removed the Chief Justice of India (CJI) from the Election Commission's selection committee and gave themselves the power to choose members without input from other parties. They arrested two popular chief ministers to hurt voter confidence in those parties. They also froze the accounts of opposition parties to make it hard for them to campaign. These actions are just a few steps the ruling party took to ensure they stayed in power.

For the past ten years, the BJP has placed judges who are willing to favor them, ignoring constitutional principles. A review of Delhi High Court decisions over the past two years shows a pattern: rulings that consistently favor the government, often jailing those helping the people of Delhi without proper evidence. When courts ignore basic facts and favor the government's position without following common-sense laws, it signals a big problem in the judiciary.

Belief in India's court system has dropped, with judges appearing either corrupt or too afraid to act against the BJP. Judgments that defy logic seem designed to silence independent voices. From an international perspective, the discrepancies in election results contrast with the visible enthusiasm of the electorate before voting began. The Election Commission, filled with corrupt officials, has shown a blatant disregard for public confidence in the election results, as if indifferent to the people's will. Rules passed in secret, benefiting only the ruling party, remain unquestioned.

Voters in constituencies where fraud has occurred should be outraged, demanding transparency and justice. There are at least 78 seats where significant irregularities and fraud have been reported. Power failures during vote counting and subsequent changes in results raise serious questions. The INDIA bloc needs to take a stronger stance against the government to uncover the truth behind these suspicious activities.

If these 78 seats swing in favor of the INDIA bloc, it would secure an absolute majority, enabling them to form the government. In the meantime, the INDIA bloc should assertively declare their candidates as the rightful winners of these seats, challenging the other party to contest this declaration, knowing the EC's credibility is in tatters. An independent observer, such as the Chief Justice of India (CJI), should be demanded to oversee a recount of votes.

Furthermore, an FIR should be filed against the pollster responsible for producing misleading projections that swayed millions and led to significant financial losses. TV station owners who profited from these skewed projections should also face legal action for damages. The time has come for the INDIA bloc to stand firm and demand accountability, ensuring the true will of the people is reflected in the government.
