Faces of Violence

In recent days, the true face of
the ruling BJP has once again been laid bare for all to see. A minister from
the BJP openly threatened to kill Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of the Opposition.
This was followed by another BJP member offering a bounty of 11 lakh rupees to
anyone who cut off Gandhi’s tongue. And let’s not forget, that there were two
additional threats from BJP members targeting Rahul Gandhi's life. These aren’t
isolated incidents. They reflect a disturbing trend within the BJP, a party
whose highest echelons of leadership are headed by none other than Prime
Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah—two individuals who seem
content to remain silent as their party members spew hate and violence.
The home minister of any country
is tasked with ensuring the security of every citizen, especially when violent
threats are made. Yet, Amit Shah has taken no action against these criminals
within his ranks. Worse still, Shah has refused to even address questions from
the media about these threats. This is not just cowardice—this is complicity.
Shah and Modi, both hailing from Gujarat, are unwilling to confront violent
extremists within their own party, let alone venture to conflict zones like
Jammu & Kashmir or Manipur despite all the security they command.
This isn’t just negligence—it is
terrorism. The BJP is being run by extremists who harbor no regard for the
democratic values they claim to uphold. Modi, with his blustering "56-inch
chest," cowers away in Gujarat, seeking sympathy from his supporters and
whining about being insulted. He has mastered the art of evading real
questions, dodging any real accountability for the deteriorating state of
India. He hides, relying on his cronies and controlled media to protect his
fragile ego while avoiding the real issues plaguing the nation. He has spent a
decade surviving on propaganda and lies, but his luck is running out.
Rahul Gandhi, on the other hand,
despite being under constant threat, has shown courage by visiting Jammu &
Kashmir and Manipur—regions that these cowards have consistently avoided. The
BJP’s leadership hides behind security while sending its foot soldiers to
incite violence. They are cowards, plain and simple. And now, the BJP's
desperation to cling to power is becoming evident as they resort to open death
threats and violence against the opposition.
The hypocrisy is sickening.
India’s courts moved with lightning speed to sentence Rahul Gandhi to two years
in jail for simply speaking out against those who have robbed this nation
blind. Modi’s loyal judges also imprisoned Kejriwal and other leaders of the
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on fabricated charges. Yet, BJP leaders who threaten
murder are allowed to roam free, making a mockery of the justice system. Even
the Chief Justice of India, instead of defending the integrity of the
judiciary, is busy performing performative worship of Ganpati alongside Modi.
This is not the behavior of a
democratic government—this is the behavior of a terrorist organization. The BJP
has corrupted every institution in the country, from law enforcement to the
judiciary, all while hiding behind the guise of "nationalism." They
call peaceful farmers terrorists while 700 of those very farmers died
protesting for their rights. And now, the real terrorists are within the BJP
itself, openly threatening the life of a man whose family has already been
devastated by violence.
Every Indian—whether in India or
abroad—should be horrified by these threats against Rahul Gandhi. This is no
longer just a political issue; it is a criminal matter, and if Modi and Shah
continue to protect these extremists, they too must be held accountable for
their crimes. Their silence is not just cowardice—it is an endorsement of the
violence their party propagates. These two men, who project themselves as
strong leaders, are nothing more than puppeteers of a party steeped in
extremism, hiding from the very problems they have created.
India must wake up before it is
too late. If this cycle of terror continues, the country's democratic fabric
will be torn apart, and the BJP will be the one holding the threads.
While Osama Bin Laden did not personally carry out terrorist acts, his leadership and influence over his followers made him responsible for their actions. Similarly, if political leaders like Modi and Shah are being associated with certain labels, it's crucial to understand why. When a leader's party members engage in harmful behavior or make threats against others, and the leadership remains silent or fails to take corrective action, the responsibility ultimately falls on the head of the organization. Silence in the face of wrongdoing can be seen as tacit approval, and in such cases, leaders earn the labels associated with the actions of their followers.
