Delhi’s Grand Upgrade: Power Cuts, Water Shortages, and Corruption – Now in 5X Mode!

Today, I had the absolute pleasure of watching Atishi, the former Chief Minister of Delhi, list out all the areas currently experiencing hours-long power cuts. And just like that, Delhi is time-traveling back to its golden era—when power cuts, water shortages, crumbling schools, and dysfunctional healthcare were everyday luxuries. Welcome back to tradition! The capital of India is finally getting the governance it didn’t ask for, all thanks to the BJP.

It’s almost poetic—Delhi, the city that once prided itself on 24/7 electricity under AAP, is now reliving the memories of the pre-2015 era, when power cuts were as regular as sunrise and sunset. Back then, generators roared, inverters drained, and candlelight dinners were not romantic but a necessity. People would sleep on rooftops in scorching heat because air conditioners were a privilege only for those who could afford massive fuel-guzzling generators. And guess what? Those good old days are making a comeback.

But wait—there’s more! Free bus rides for women? Oh, don’t be ridiculous. That was never in the BJP’s plans, so let’s erase that expectation immediately. ₹2,500 monthly stipend for women? Well, I seem to recall BJP leaders already denying that such a promise was ever made—it must have been a mass delusion that everyone heard it during their election speeches. And then there’s their grand pledge to provide five times more than what AAP was giving the people—and to be fair, they are delivering. Five times more power cuts, five times more frustration, and five times more backroom deals. Bravo, BJP!

Now, let’s prepare for the next round of surprises—inflated electricity and water bills like never before, because nothing says good governance like forcing people to pay more for services they barely receive. Water shortages will once again become a defining feature of Delhi summers, with long lines at public taps, private water tankers making a fortune, and the privileged few securing their share while the rest beg for drops.

But here’s the real kicker—if you want to see what corruption really looks like, the people of Delhi will have a front-row seat under Modi-Shah rule.

Many people convinced themselves that Kejriwal and Sisodia were corrupt, even when not a single rupee was found stolen. But don’t worry—those who were disappointed by the lack of actual corruption will now have a thrilling spectacle. Billions will disappear, deals will be made in secret, and if honest people are ever put in charge of investigating these thugs, the scale of theft will be historic.

And now, here we are—five days post-election, and Delhi still doesn’t have a Chief Minister. But does it even matter? Amit Shah is running the show anyway. The actual CM will just be a symbolic figurehead, while backroom deals are orchestrated by Gujarat’s business elite, ensuring all of Delhi’s major projects are handed over to handpicked corporate favorites. And the public? Oh, they don’t need to know—democracy means trusting your leaders blindly, right?

The joke, however, is on those who thought the BJP would somehow be different. For years, people in Delhi enjoyed AAP’s governance—free electricity up to 200 units, 20,000 liters of free water, access to Mohalla Clinics, and high-quality government schools that even the middle class started sending their children to. And now? It’s back to the old routine. School buildings will rot, education will be handed over to private entities, healthcare services will be outsourced to corporations that prioritize profit over people, and soon enough, residents will realize that what they voted (or didn’t vote) for was the systematic dismantling of everything that was built for them.

It’s amusing when people blame Nehru and past Congress leaders, because back then, there was nothing to steal—only a nation to build. Fast forward to today, and now that India actually has wealth to plunder, we’ve conveniently found the perfect salesman to auction it off—a man who allegedly owns nothing, lives out of a suitcase, yet wears designer suits that change every four hours. Fascinating.

But here’s my bold prediction: this BJP victory in Delhi will turn into their burial ground. Mark my words, this is one prediction that will absolutely come true. Until then, sit back, relax, and watch corruption unfold in real-time. Delhi, welcome to "The Great Betrayal 2.0—Now Under New Management."
