The Art of Losing Like a Winner – AAP’s Guide to Turning Defeat into Victory

Ah, democracy! That magical system where elections are won not by governance but by the sheer brilliance of electoral math, invisible voters, and last-minute "surprises" that only the ruling party seems privy to. The BJP has won Delhi, or at least that’s what the results say, and now, AAP finds itself in the unfamiliar territory of opposition. But fear not, because losing an election isn’t necessarily the end—it’s just the beginning of a much bigger fight. If played right, this so-called “loss” can be the BJP’s worst nightmare.

First things first—put their feet to the fire. Literally. If BJP had the audacity to promise that they would deliver five times what AAP did, then it’s time to hold them to their own ridiculous standard. After all, if they were bold enough to make grand claims, surely they can handle a little accountability, right?

  1. Electricity: AAP provided 200kW of free electricity and 400kW at half price. So naturally, BJP should now provide 1,000kW free and 2,000kW at half price. If they don’t? Well, it turns out, someone was lying, and nothing screams "betrayal" louder than people seeing their electricity bills skyrocket while their new BJP government sits comfortably. And if BJP even dares to take away the existing 200kW free electricity, make sure every Delhi resident knows exactly who stabbed them in the back.
  2. Water: AAP delivered 20,000 liters of free clean water per household per month. Since BJP vowed to do five times better, Delhi residents should now expect 100,000 liters of free water. If that doesn’t happen? Well, cue the largest "LIAR, LIAR, PANTS ON FIRE" campaign Delhi has ever seen. Billboards, posters, social media—make sure no one forgets this broken promise.
  3. Healthcare: AAP’s Mohalla Clinics and free healthcare have been a game-changer, offering free medical treatment to all, including full healthcare for senior citizens. Time to watch what happens to those clinics. If the BJP starts privatizing healthcare and quietly funneling those budgets into their favorite corporate backers, don’t let it slide. Expose every cut, every delay, every shutdown.
  4. Women’s Travel Benefits: Women in Delhi enjoyed free bus travel under AAP. What does BJP’s "five times better" version look like? Are they going to pay women four times the fare as a reward for traveling? Didn’t think so. Make sure every woman who now has to pay for a ticket knows exactly whom to thank for this “progress.”
  5. Education: Delhi’s public schools were transformed under AAP, giving families high-quality education. The real test begins now: Will BJP keep these schools public and well-funded, or will they sell them off to their corporate friends for a quick buck? Spoiler alert: if history is any indication, expect a lot of schools suddenly being "restructured" into elite private institutions. Keep track of every school that loses funding, every facility that starts deteriorating, and every policy that quietly dismantles AAP’s education reforms.

Now that the BJP has control, the AAP needs to get aggressive in tracking the corruption that is about to unfold. Modi and his allies have been itching to start outsourcing Delhi’s projects to their favorite Gujarat-based businessmen. Every suspicious contract, every policy that benefits a crony capitalist, every shady deal needs to be exposed immediately. The media won’t do it, so it’s up to AAP to be the megaphone that the people need.

More importantly, this is the time for AAP to step out of Delhi and expand nationally. The party must take its message to other states and start exposing the deep-seated corruption that runs through government, religion, and every public service department where citizens are forced to bribe their way through life. The BJP thrives on controlling the narrative, so it's time to disrupt that narrative with real issues.

The biggest problem India faces today is that government officials and religious institutions treat taxpayer money and donations as their personal inheritance, diverting it into their own pockets while leaving citizens in poverty. The opposition needs to hammer this message home. Because when the state steals from its people under the guise of governance and religious morality, it is not just corruption—it is economic oppression.

Now that AAP is in the opposition, it’s time to go after BJP with relentless focus. Make sure the countless videos of illegal money distribution before the elections, cash bribes to voters, and forced vote commitments are exposed as blatant vote-buying schemes. The BJP loves to play the victim when accused of fraud, but the evidence is too overwhelming to ignore.

The noise needs to be so loud, so unrelenting, that even the BJP’s media empire can’t drown it out. Make sure every Delhi citizen hears this message loud and clear every single time the BJP tries to cheat the people out of what was promised.

And that’s how you turn an election loss into a victory.
