Run, Modi, Run!

Run, Modi, Run!

Original Hindi Poem: https://rakeshinsightfulgaze.blogspot.com/2026/10/bhaag-modi-bhaag.html

At every step, Modi fears
The words he dares to say.
A fire is burning all around
When will he face us one day?

So many promises he made,
Yet none could he make true.
He let his friends plunder our land;
His promises were false all through.

He told the people in his words,
“If I cannot get things done,
Call me to any crossroads there
I’ll come before you, everyone.”

Some people here refuse to see
What stands before their eyes.
When others speak against Modi,
Their hurt and anger rise.

Their world is filled with hatred,
And hatred Modi spread.
They liked the things they heard him say,
“He speaks our thoughts,” they said.

The world around has now awoken;
His deeds are plain to see.
After everything that he has done,
He bows to all how can this be?

My country always has been great;
We made it great together.
The hatred Modi spread has made,
Our heads hang low in shame forever.

The birds of freedom once again
Have called across the land.
With shrouds already round their heads,
For freedom now they stand.

We will not live in suffocation;
These thieves we must confront.
The rights they stole must be restored,
We’ll stand together at the front.

Each day, Modi cries again,
“Nehru trapped me in this plight!”
He wants no part of the Constitution;
It drove his Manusmriti out of sight.

He performed his rites and prayers,
Then robbed Lord Ram one day.
Whatever trust the world once held
Has broken and fallen away.

Now Rahul has disturbed his sleep;
He gives him no repose.
Modi weeps to think how much,
He mocked him and deepened his woes.

Sometimes he cries about his mother;
Sometimes “little monkey” is his name.
Even the monkey feels ashamed:
“Why drag me into your shame?”

The call for freedom echoes loud;
The people roar today.
Modi has picked up his own bag,
Soon he’ll be on his way.
