Delhi’s Grand Masterclass in Political Deception: Enjoy Your ₹1,100

Ah, the people of Delhi. Ever the optimists, always ready to believe that this time the BJP’s promises might actually be real. And why not? After all, they were promised ₹2,500 per month for every woman over eighteen. That’s a lot of money! More than AAP’s ₹2,100. A deal so good it almost sounded… too good to be true. And guess what? It was too good to be true.

Now that the election dust has settled and the BJP has miraculously secured yet another “victory” (thanks, Election Commission, always a pleasure), the grand mystery remains—where is that ₹2,500? Any sign of it? Any government order? Any budget allocation? No? Didn’t think so. But let’s not act surprised. This isn’t the first time the BJP has pulled off the political equivalent of a disappearing act, and judging by how easily voters keep falling for it, it certainly won’t be the last.

Before the election, the BJP was happily handing out ₹1,100 per voter, securing votes the old-fashioned way—with straight-up bribery. Meanwhile, AAP leaders were screaming from the rooftops, warning voters that BJP’s ₹2,500-a-month promise was just another scam. But why listen to logic when cash is being handed out like Diwali sweets? The BJP knew exactly what it was doing—say a lie often enough, and people will believe it. And oh boy, did they.

And now? Well, let’s just say the betrayal is setting in. BJP’s brand-new Chief Minister of Delhi, in her very first official interview, conveniently “forgot” about the ₹2,500 promise. There was no mention of it in the first BJP government meeting. No policy drafted, no funds allocated. Delhi’s new rulers are now pretending as if the promise never existed. Maybe they expect voters to develop selective amnesia—just like they do every election.

Let’s take a moment to appreciate the sheer genius of this strategy. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice… well, Delhi, what’s your excuse? You saw this coming, didn’t you? This is classic BJP—promise the moon, steal the election, then look confused when people ask where the moon is. And you still fell for it.

Now, the real fun begins. What happens next? Let’s check the BJP’s post-election checklist:
✔️ Blame the previous government for all failures
✔️ Quietly dismantle free healthcare
✔️ Find a way to privatize public education
✔️ Increase water and electricity bills
✔️ Blame Muslims, Nehru, and Jawaharlal Nehru’s great-grandson for everything

And if you thought Delhi’s residents were safe, think again. Public healthcare? Say goodbye to free treatments—BJP’s favorite billionaire friends will soon own hospitals, and if you can’t afford it, well, tough luck. But don’t worry, dying of preventable diseases is just nature’s way of solving India’s overpopulation problem! Who knew that poor healthcare policies could be marketed as economic reform? Now that’s a masterstroke. Delhi’s struggling families may lose their loved ones due to lack of affordable healthcare, but look on the bright side—at least the BJP will have one less freebie to fund! Population control through negligence—it’s efficiency at its finest.

Schools? Time to start saving, because soon, even kindergarten fees will give you heart palpitations. Water and electricity? Let’s just say subsidies and BJP governance don’t go together. But hey, at least you got ₹1,100 before the election, right? What a bargain!

But let’s not forget the real MVP of this circus—the Election Commission of India. What a fantastic job they did! Truly remarkable how they turned democracy into a high-budget Bollywood thriller. They ensured that every possible advantage was given to the BJP, from looking the other way on voter fraud to shifting polling stations just enough to inconvenience AAP voters. And now, BJP supporters ask, why isn’t Kejriwal protesting?

Great question! Maybe because every institution in this country is now run by BJP loyalists? Which judge is going to rule against Modi’s government? The Chief Justice himself postponed the EVM fraud hearing because, apparently, the government lawyer had more important cases to deal with. Justice in today’s India works on a “we’ll get to it when we feel like it” basis—unless, of course, you’re an opposition leader, in which case, prison is ready and waiting.

And let’s talk about accountability—oh wait, never mind, because there is none. The Election Commission, which is supposed to ensure fair elections, is now just another department of the BJP’s campaign headquarters. In any developed democracy, politicians who blatantly lie to voters would be held accountable. But this is India, where even murder is excused as “God’s will.” If people aren’t held accountable for wrongful deaths, why would they ever be held accountable for lying?

And so, here we are. The BJP has successfully pulled off yet another scam, and Delhi’s voters will now have five years to enjoy the consequences of their choices. The ₹2,500-a-month fantasy has officially been filed in the “never happening” drawer. The healthcare system is about to be gutted. The education system will be up for sale. And yet, BJP supporters will keep forwarding WhatsApp messages about how Modi is the greatest leader India has ever had.

In functioning democracies, voters demand results. In India, they demand WhatsApp forwards. If politicians in advanced nations make election promises, they are legally bound to fulfill them. In India, voters treat political lies the way they treat red lights—completely optional.

So, congratulations, Delhi. You sold your votes. You ignored every warning. You handed BJP a victory that even they weren’t expecting. And now? Well, now you get to enjoy five years of broken promises, skyrocketing bills, and disappearing public services.

But hey, at least you got ₹1,100. Spend it wisely. Maybe buy a candle for when the electricity bills triple. Or better yet, save it for the hospital bill—assuming there’s still a hospital left to go to.
